Job Description:**


Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS +6 yrs related experience


The Enterprise Security Team is primarily responsible for monitoring and maintaining the security posture of the Enterprise. The team consists of three major components: Patching, Security configuration compliance and Vulnerability Scanning and Remediation.


This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards.


As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, policy changes, etc. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.


Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.


Specifically, a qualified candidate will be required to:


+ Apply necessary security packages to ensure compliance with all security mandates.

+ Provide Enterprise systems security management to the NETC computer assets.

+ Keep the NETC servers and workstations up to date and in compliance with NETWARCOM IAVA's; Microsoft Fixes or other patches to Operating Systems (OS) or Applications that are released.

+ Ensure compliance of patches by actively scanning for successful/unsuccessful deployments and by preparing reports of compliance.

+ Ensure applications/servers are compliant with FISMA, AV application IAVM/IAVA/IAVB, AD policies, application CTOs and INFOCONs., etc.

+ Review Software Change Administration and Notification (SAN) results and determine compliance and provide resolutions.

+ Coordinate with all applicable application owners, program managers and database administrators to initiate corrective actions.


**MUST Have Skills:**


+ Experience and working knowledge of Security Configuration Compliance (Information Assurance Vulnerability Manager (IAVM/IAV Alert (*AVA)/IAV bulletins, STIG/SCAP)

+ Experience and working knowledge of GPOs and Microsoft Windows OS Patch Management

+ Experience and working knowledge in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (WinSvr08 or higher and Win7 or higher)


**Nice to have: IT Ticketing System, such as ITSM or Serena**


**Clearance Requirement:** Secret to start work


**Required Baseline Certs:** CSWF IAT Level II (CCNA Security or CSA+ or GICSP or GSEC or Security+ce or SSCP)
