Basic Purpose



The intern position will support the Information Services Department's (ISD / IT) Talent Development & Training (TDAT) team, in order to drive and execute the integrated talent management strategy for ISD. The intern will support the design, development, implementation, and support of talent and training programs. The ideal candidate is conscientious, detail-oriented, and a team player with high learning agility and the desire to combine theory and best practices with practical, hands on experience. To be eligible for this position you must currently be a graduate degree-seeking candidate enrolled in an accredited university program.Primary Responsibilities:1. Support the development and implementation of ISD talent development programs* Assists in the development, implementation, and tracking of talent metrics* Provides assessment, analysis, and guidance on talent initiatives, including career path development, and ensures alignment with ISD strategic priorities* Supports the development, implementation, and presentation of the Talent Optimization Pipeline (TOP) program* Distributes evaluations and create custom reports* Researches talent management and training best practices and trends2. Support the development and implementation of the ISD training function* Assists in the development of ISD training strategy and evaluation* Evaluates current internal training techniques, technologies, and programs to identify gaps, provide recommendations and implement enhancements* Serves as the Learning Management System administrator for Information Services* Evaluates and recommends best vendor-provided solutions* Coordinates training and logistics for internal and/or vendor-led training* Assists in writing and editing Navy Federal award submissions and publications* Performs ad hoc requests as required3. Support related ISD talent and training efforts* ISD training administration & logistics* ISD training development and evaluation* ISD onboarding* ISD career development* ISD recruiting and selection* ISD workforce planning* ISD succession planningQualifications -- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Currently enrolled in a masters level program with a focus in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar* Ability to present findings and conclusions clearly and concisely* Ability to exercise initiative, produce desired results and achieve objectives* Strong attention to detail* Strong research, analytical, and problem solving skills* Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including skill in in negotiating and persuading others* Experience commensurate with a high degree of maturity, objectivity, tact, integrity and sound judgment* Strong planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills* Ability to work both independently and effectively as a member of a team* Experience with relevant software including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, etc.), analytics packages (e.g., SPSS, Tableau), and / or training (e.g., Captivate, Articulate)Hours:TBD
